Gridiron: Blue/Golds flag football tournament

Gridiron: Blue/Gold’s flag football tournament

Mount Pleasant’s Blue/Gold Club hosted its very first Gridiron flag football tournament on November 9. Gridiron was a one-off tournament created to include students from our special education program in more Mount activities and encouraged students from all programs to form teams and participate. Although a winner was not declared, there were several highlights of the game, including the two spectacular pick 6’s by Derrick Burrell-Johnson and Moise “Mo” Avignon on the Dragons team. There was also an interesting moment following a win by the Bald Beauties team where a player rubbed their coach Mr. Frazier’s head. Since this event was well attended and greatly enjoyed by the entire school, hopefully, it will return next year and become an annual event for the school!
